Performance Policies
Theatre Etiquette
-Please remember to turn off your cell phones and digital devices before the performance. Bright screens are distracting to other audience members and a risk to dancers on stage.
-Photography or videotaping by individuals other than credentialed individuals is strictly prohibited during performances. Patrons in violation of this policy will be asked to leave the theater.
-Beverages are available for your enjoyment on the balcony during intermission.
-Food and beverages are not permitted in the theater.
-The dress code is varied. The man to your left may wear a tux and the man to your right may wear a sweatshirt. To be safe, take the middle road. For men, a dress shirt and pressed pants will do while for women, a skirt or slacks with a coordinated top is appropriate. If you like to dress up, however, don’t be afraid to go for it.
Late seating and Re-seating
-Performances begin promptly. In consideration of all audience members, latecomers will be seated at the discretion of management.
-Once the curtain goes up, if you leave the theater for any reason you may not be permitted to re-enter the theater for the remainder of the act. Re-seating will be at the discretion of management.
Children at the Ballet
-The USA IBC welcomes children and families to our performances. We suggest Round I matinees (in lieu of evening performances) for younger children during our competition season. If your child is disruptive, you will be asked to leave the theater. Please contact the box office if you need clarification about an event outside our competition season.
-Everyone who enters the theater must have a ticket; lap sitting is not permitted.
-No persons under two years of age are allowed in the theatre.
