06/21/2010 – USA IBC Announces Competitors Advancing to Round III (Finalists)
With the conclusion of round two of the 2010 USA International Ballet Competition, 34 of the world’s finest young dancers will compete for gold, silver and bronze medals during the final round.

06/17/2010 – USA IBC Announces Competitors Advancing to Round II (Semi-Finalists)
Jackson, Miss. June 17, 2010 – The first round of the 2010 USA IBC concludes with jurors selecting competitors to advance to round two.

05/28/2010 – USA IBC Offers A Competitor Experience Like No Other
Jackson, Miss., May 28, 2010 – Connor Walsh, now flourishing as a principal dancer at the Houston Ballet, was a favored competitor in the 2006 USA International Ballet Competition (USA IBC) but did not advance to Round II of the competition. Instead of heading back to Houston immediately, he remained in Jackson and soaked up the experience of the USA IBC until after the closing ceremonies.

05/10/2010 – 2010 USA IBC Master & Mistress of Ceremonies Announced
Christopher d’Amboise and Evelyn Hart have been chosen as the host and hostess of the 2010 USA International Ballet Competition, which will take place in Jackson, Miss., June 12 – June 27, 2010.

04/26/2010 – Professional Development for Photographers Offered at 2010 USA IBC
JACKSON, Miss., April 26, 2010 —Workshop participants will have the opportunity to shoot with Greenfield’s professional-grade Canon gear. The group will immediately see their images on the monitor, providing instant feedback and instruction. Participants may also use their own professional-grade digital camera equipment, provided they bring their own laptops. 04/21/2010 – USA IBC Transforms Jackson Into A Ballet Mecca
Jackson, Miss., April 21, 2010 – From June 12 to June 27, 2010, an international audience will join with local dance enthusiasts as the City of Jackson eats, sleeps and celebrates the beauty of dance. Every four years the capital of Mississippi also becomes the capital of the dance world as the USA International Ballet Competition (USA IBC) transforms the city into a ballet mecca.

04/05/2010 – Individual Performance Tickets NOW available.
Jackson, Miss., April 5, 2010 – Individual tickets for the 2010 USA International Ballet Competition (USA IBC) went on sale to the public today, April 5, 2010. Scheduled for June 12 – 27, at Thalia Mara Hall in Jackson, Mississippi, the event is designated as the official international ballet competition in the United States by a Joint Resolution of Congress. 03/23/2010-USA IBC Competitors Announced
New York City, March 23, 2010 – USA International Ballet Competition (USA IBC) Officials announced today that 119 competitors from 36 countries will compete in the 2010 USA IBC, the official ballet competition of the United States by a Joint Resolution of Congress.

02/15/2010 -USA IBC ANNOUNCES INTERNATIONAL JURY AND SELECTION COMMITTEE
The USA International Ballet Competition (USA IBC) announced today the 2010 jury list and selection committee. The USA IBC will be held June 12 -27, at Thalia Mara Hall in Jackson, Mississippi.

02/15/2010 – USA IBC RELEASES DANCE SCHOOL AND TEACHERS WORKSHOP APPLICATIONS
The USA International Ballet Competition (USA IBC) recently made applications available for the 2010 USA IBC Dance School and Teachers Workshop. The events, held concurrently with the competition, will take place in Jackson, Miss., June 12 – 27, 2010. Potential students can download applications from the USA IBC web site.

01/19/2010 – USA IBC SELECTS ARTHUR MITCHELL 2010 HONORARY CHAIRPERSON
Arthur Mitchell, founding artistic director of Dance Theatre of Harlem, has been chosen as
the Honorary Chairman of the USA International Ballet Competition, which will be held June 12 -27, 2010 at Thalia Mara Hall in Jackson, Mississippi.

12/17/2009 – PHILADANCO TAPPED FOR RESIDENCY AT 2010 USA IBC: Company to be featured in workshop, lecture/demonstration and performance
The USA International Ballet Competition will host The Philadelphia Dance Company, affectionately known as Philadanco, for a two-day residency June 16-17, 2010. Philadanco is celebrated around the world and across the nation for its innovation, creativity and preservation of predominantly African-American traditions in dance.

12/10/2009 - USA IBC TICKET PACKAGES NOW AVAILABLE
All-inclusive ticket packages for the 2010 USA International Ballet Competition, scheduled for June 12 – 27, at Thalia Mara Hall in Jackson, Mississippi, will go on sale to the public January 4, 2010. The 2010 competition will build on a 30-year heritage of attracting the world’s best dancers.

12/10/2009 – USA IBC ANNOUNCES ONE-SEASON CONTRACT AWARDS
A flawless performance in the USA International Ballet Competition can launch a competitor’s dance career. Company directors interested in hiring dancers attend the USA IBC, and many dancers enter the competition hoping to leave with a company contract.

11/10/2009 – USA IBC RETURNS TO JACKSON MISSISSIPPI JUNE 2010
The USA International Ballet Competition (USA IBC) announced today the selection of the world-famous dance company Bad Boys of Dance to perform at the 2010 opening ceremonies, which will take place Saturday, June 12, at Thalia Mara Hall in Jackson, Mississippi. The USA IBC also unveiled today the official commemorative poster of the 2010 competition. Brent Funderburk, an esteemed Mississippi State University faculty member, is the official artist for the upcoming competition, and as the recipient of this honor, Funderburk created the special piece of art that is the signature image of the event. Both the artist and the commemorative poster are sponsored by Viking Range Corporation.
