The USA IBC is the official international ballet competition in the United States designated by a 1982 Joint Resolution of Congress.
“The dancers competing in the 2006 USA IBC are very talented,” said Sue Lobrano, executive director of the USA IBC. “It’s always so exciting to see such a high caliber of artistic performance and skill among our competitors. They are truly among the world’s best dancers.”
Round II is scheduled for June 23 – 25.
The USA IBC, held every four years in Jackson, Mississippi, hosts three rounds of competition where dancers from around the world vie for scholarships, medals, company contracts and cash awards. The two-week competition concludes July 2.
