Biographical Information: Mme. Peff Modelski
Mme. Modelski is a Master Teacher of Classical Ballet, a Guild Certified Feldenkrais® Practitioner, a Sounder Sleep™ Specialist, a classical ballet teacher, coach, pedagogue, and repititeur.

She has brought dancers from injury to normal levels of competency, progressing the pre-professional toward the highest standards, and restoring the technique and performance self confidence of professionals.

Currently, Mme. Modelski is based in Chicago, Illinois, USA. For 12 years, Mme. Peff Modelski has worked as a Feldenkrais® practitioner and for 31 years she taught professional ballet class at Steps in New York City 6 days a week! Her performing career is highlighted by:
1952: SadlersWells
1958, 1962: Royal Ballet New York
1963: Camelot on Broadway
1964-1967: Original company of Fiddler on the Roof, Jerome Robbins, choreographer
1970-1973: Royal Ballet – New York, Stuttgart Ballet – New York, Berlin Opera Ballet – New York

Mme. Modelski trained originally with Margaret Craske, Alfredo Corvino, Metropolitan Opera Ballet School, School of American Ballet (Oubukov, Vladimirov, Danilova, Dubrovska), Royal Danish Ballet School (Stanley Williams), Hector Zaraspe, David Howard, Bessobrassova, Nenette Charisse, and William Burmann. Other dance training included modern with David Wood, Stuart Hodes, José Limon, Paul Taylor, East Indian, flamenco and tap.

Mme. Modelski is also a Guild Certified Feldenkrais® Practitioner, which allows her to bring added knowledge of how the body and mind work to learn, keep memory, and produce movement. Lessons bring the current movement of the individual into their attention and enable him/her to follow through on their intention to move elegantly without discomfort in performance and life.

The Feldenkrais® Method enhances learning curves so that dancers with painful work habits are relieved. Those with learning challenges find effective ways to learn and retain information along with exact timing in body and mind. When a dancer knows how to make changes in the quality of his/her movement, range of motion, stamina, timing and mental well being increase.
