CityDance Auditions are held each year on the Saturday after Labor Day. Children between the ages of 7-12 years old are invited to participate. Students must attend Jackson Public Schools to be accepted into the program.
2025 CityDance Audition Information:
CityDance Auditions will be held on Saturday, September 6th, 2025. ALL students will be required to audition in person on September 6th. Auditions are open to boys and girls ages 7 to 12, and no dance experience is required. Children must be 7 years old by September 6th, no exceptions. 12-year-olds must have completed the CityDance program in a prior year. Selection is based on flexibility, rhythm, and the ability to follow dance instructions. All audition material will be taught on the audition day.

Comfortable shorts, leggings, t-shirts, and socks. NO costumes

All classes will be held on Tuesday or Thursday afternoons. Their level placement at auditions will determine the day and time of your child’s ballet class. Level 1 and Level 2 classes are held once a week for one hour per class. Level 3 classes meet twice a week for one hour and 30 minutes each. There will be a spring recital in May 2026. All dancewear, costumes, and shoes are provided free of charge.
