CityDance Auditions are held each year on the Saturday after labor day. Children age 7-12 years old are invited to participate. Students must attend Jackson Public Schools to participate in the program

CityDance Auditions will be held on Saturday, September 10th, 2022. ALL students will be required to audition in person on September 10th. Auditions are open to boys and girls who are ages 7 to 12, and no dance experience is required. Children must be 7 years old by September 10th, no exceptions. 12 year olds must have completed the CityDance program in a prior year. Selection is based on flexibility, rhythm, and the ability to follow dance instruction.

Comfortable shorts, leggings, or pants, t-shirt, and socks.

All classes will be held on Tuesday or Thursday afternoons. The day and time of your child’s ballet class will be determined by their level placement at auditions. Level 1 and Level 2 classes are held once a week for one hour per class. Level 3 classes meet twice a week for one hour each class. There will be a spring recital in May 2023. All dancewear and shoes are provided free of charge.
