CityDance Auditions are held each year on the Saturday after Labor Day. Children age 7-12 years old are invited to participate. Students must attend Jackson Public Schools to be accepted in the program.

CityDance Auditions will be held on Saturday, September 7th, 2024. ALL students will be required to audition in person on September 7th. Auditions are open to boys and girls ages 7 to 12, and no dance experience is required. Children must be 7 years old by September 7th, no exceptions. 12-year-olds must have completed the CityDance program in a prior year. Selection is based on flexibility, rhythm, and the ability to follow dance instructions. All audition material will be taught on the audition day.

What to wear:
Comfortable shorts, leggings, t-shirt, and socks. NO costumes
How to register:
Pre-registration is available until 12 noon, Friday, September 6. In-person registration is available on audition day.
All classes will be held on Tuesday or Thursday afternoons. Their level placement at auditions will determine the day and time of your child’s ballet class. Level 1 and Level 2 classes are held once a week for one hour per class. Level 3 classes meet twice a week for one hour and 15 minutes each. There will be a spring recital in May 2024. All dancewear, costumes, and shoes are provided free of charge.
